Universal Market Trader - Forex, Futures & Stocks

The brand NEW Universal Market Trader!
Stocks, Futures & Forex, both for Daytrades and Swing trades.

Fellow Swing Trader,

Today the fun begins.

Universal Market Trader 1.00pm Webcast Universal Market Trader 9.00pm Webcast

Up until now most of the juicy details have been kept under wraps regarding the much anticipated and imminent release of the Universal Market Trader.

I can tell you firsthand that NetPicks is receiving mountains of emails each and every day over the last week or so from truly excited and curious traders wanting to know more.

But so far, they haven't let out all the details.

How much will it cost?

Where and how can I get one?

How many will be available and how quickly will it sell out? Please take note that a sell out is assured (in their first private release they lasted less than 4 days.)

When can I own it?

Does it really work just as well for forex, futures and stocks...daytrading and swingtrading?

Can I ask my questions directly to the developers?

Next Tuesday, August 21, 2007 at either 1:00pm EST (New York time)/10:00am PST/5:00pm GMT or at 9:00pm EST/6:00pm PST/1:00am GMT NetPicks is holding a live tell all webcast that will address all of these questions and much more. You will see The Universal Market Trader in action and in greater detail than ever before. Plus you will hear direct from the developer himself, and be able to ask all of your questions live.

If you want to take your trading to a place it has never even been close to before, make the time and drop by. If you have read just a few of the testimonials posted, you should have a pretty good idea this may be a life changing event for you, just as it was for so many of our current owners when they attended nearly two months ago.

To register for the 1:00pm EST/10:00am PST/5:00pm GMT webinar please go here:

Universal Market Trader 1.00pm Webcast

To register for the 9:00pm EST/6:00pm PST/1:00am GMT webinar please go here:

Universal Market Trader 9.00pm Webcast

Also because of the demand, it is highly recommended you attend, as you will be able to pre-reserve your copy (with no commitment) live at the webcast, there will be no other chance to do this.

I can tell you all of NetPicks' previous releases sold out very quickly, and this time will be no different.

Mark next Tuesday down in your calendar, it is one webcast not to be missed.

P.S. - If you aren't averaging about 70%+, or nearly 4 out of 5, then you aren't doing as well as the Universal Market Traders owners. And we're not the one's saying this, the owners are.

"I have spent more than $25K on software and training over the last 3 years, and after testing the UMT system for 4 weeks, I know I will be making some serious money. I have not seen anything better. I use TradeStation and Ninja trader to enter the trades, I believe this is a combination that is perfectly suited for simplifying the entry of trades for this system. I suspect the blow away results day was July 26th. My results for that day netted 45.5 points per contract on 28 trades, 26 win.ners (including 4 where stops were moved to protect prof.its). My only regret is that I had promised to spend the Month of July learning the system, so after 2 wins the rest of the trading was on the Ninja simulator. I recommend that you go through that day and pick out all the trades the system generates. It will be a great experience. July 27th was almost as good. To learn, I have run over 200 trades through the system in the last 2 weeks with more than 75% win.ners. The only losing day was July 19th."

Moving Average, Triple Exponential

The Triple Exponential Moving Average (TRIX) is an oscillator used to identify oversold and overbought markets as well as a momentum indicator. For use as an oscillator look for a positive value to indicate an overbought market and a negative value indicate an oversold market. When TRIX is used as a momentum indicator, a positive value suggests increasing momentum just as a negative value suggests momentum is decreasing. Some believe that the TRIX crossing above the zero line is a buy signal and a closing below the zero line is a sell signal. Divergence between price and TRIX can also indicate significant turning points in the market.

Trendlines

Determining Market Reversals and Continuations

Trendlines are perhaps the oldest tools known to chartists. Trendlines form across peaks and valleys called pivot points - relative highs and lows in a chart. As more points form along a line, it becomes more "established". This means that, when the line is broken, it will likely follow through with a strong move in the new direction.

GOOG has formed a clear head-and-shoulders pattern with a neck line (support) at 499.00. Today's break of this level could lead to a move back toward the 460.00 level.

CEN has formed a large saucer top pattern that has the potential for a huge breakout move. The bottom of the pattern (support) at 31.60 has held through several tests, but a break could deliver a move of about 10 points. Watch this zone closely.

Late-Day Sell-Off...

- Dow sells off sharply late in the day, closes with 167 point loss. The index has cleared the neck line of the highly bearish head-and-shoulders pattern, which could make for more selling ahead.

- The NASDAQ and S&P each sold off sharply to Close the day, with each index breaking key support. Look for more weakness moving forward, especially if the indexes remain beneath support.

Summary

The Dow closed the day with a heavy decline this afternoon and continues to push lower beneath the neck line of the major H&S. Look for the target of the pattern to eventually be reached at around 12,400.

4 out of 5 Wins - Another Regular Day

If you aren't averaging about 70%+, or nearly 4 out of 5, then you aren't doing as well as the Universal Market Traders owners. And we're not the one's saying this, the owners are.

Universal Market Trader

"The UMT is by far the most consistently accurate trading system I have ever tried. In the last two weeks I have day traded 9 days. 8 of those days were profitable. I am running about 70% win.ning trades. The live trading rooms and weekly seminars have been invaluable in learning the system, and helping understand some nuance, such as what to do when a trade almost reaches target, and managing trades for profit. The owner's website and daily chat rooms have also been very helpful. Thanks very much Netpicks." - Douglas Felten

This is one of many testimonials we've received, most of which are actually recorded audio that we have transcribed, as dozens of owners have actually taken the time to call in and leave these on our voicemail.

Keltner Channels

Keltner Channels are a volatility-based indicator that uses a pair of values placed as an "envelope" around a data field. The values are calculated by taking the Exponential Moving Average of the data for a given period and adding or subtracting twice the average true range from the moving average.

Envelope theory states that prices will most likely fall within the boundaries of the envelope. If prices drift outside their envelope this may signify a trading opportunity.

Keltner Channels are similar to Bollinger Bands and share many of their characteristics but represent volatility using high and low, rather than the standard deviation of the one field.

WBSN has turned down away from a clear upper trend line and has filled a bearish exhaustion gap, which indicates more weakness ahead. Look for more selling beneath 22.40, especially if 19.25 is crossed.

MMR has formed a tight consolidation at the lows after dropping from the July highs. This consolidation also happens to be the right shoulder of a developing head-and-shoulders pattern, which is typically a bearish pattern. Look for weakness through 13.60 for signs of key selling.

Key DOW Levels for 8/15

UP

Above 13,400

DN

Below 12,975

Steady Decline...

- Dow trades slowly lower throughout session, breaks critical support. The Daily Chart says a whole lot about the direction we could be headed in the Dow. The Dow broke through the neck line of the large head-and-shoulders pattern at 13,150 and actually held beneath this level into the Close, which is the first time this has occurred around this zone. This is a bearish break that could result in a decline of about 600 points from our current level. Watch for movement below 13,000 for confirmation.

- The NASDAQ and S&P each pushed steadily lower throughout the day and are now testing key levels of support. These zones could spark the next key move in the market.

Summary

The Dow ended the day with a steady decline and is now holding beneath the neck line of the major H&S, which is highly bearish. Watch this level for signs that more selling could occur.

Gann Global Financial

Fellow Trader,

(If you missed Special Report: A Sneak Peek at the Next Bear Market in Stocks I urge you to read it now.)

Well the wild ride in the stock market has continued to reinforce Gann Global Financial's argument for a decline in the later stages of 2007.

They've recorded another video: Are you ready for an S&P "Runaway Decline"?

At present, the overall 9% decline in the S&P 500 is strikingly reminiscent of the 9% decline which preceded the crash of 1987.

In fact, a video reveals that the pattern of the 1987 "crash" is the closest fit of any historic precedent since 1886!

Could the S&P be Tipping its Hand?

This new video by James Flanagan takes an in-depth look at the comparison between the current stock market and this 20-year cycle (the 1987 crash).

As of yet it doesn't look like we have confirmed the 1987 pattern.

But, if we do, the other shoe should drop and the decline should be much greater than what we have experienced so far.

If that scenario plays out, James feels this stock market would have the potential of JOINING THE CLUB of "Greatest Runaway Declines in History."

Watch the video here - Are you ready for an S&P "Runaway Decline"?

PS - Year of Transition - Gann Global Financial - This year should be a major transitional time frame with two major financial events taking place... Major events in the financial markets Video

Overbought / Oversold / Overload

Analysts love to show off by proclaiming that the markets have become overbought or oversold. Unfortunately, few of us seem to understand what these terms really mean or what we should do when these moments of truth arise.

Should we run for the hills because a market is overbought, or perhaps load up the boat because it's oversold? And how do we know when one of our trades might fall prey to one of these extreme conditions?

The best way to understand overbought or oversold markets is to study the nature of supply and demand. At any given moment, a finite pool of buyers and sellers is available to take action on a particular stock. The trading activity of this crowd usually stays within fairly narrow boundaries.

But imbalances develop over time and force one side to pull the trigger, sometimes prematurely. This "uses up" that side of the market and awakens price mechanics that favor the other side.

Measured and Exhaustion Gaps

Identifiable Patterns After Confirmation Move

We have previously mentioned the three types of gaps that are of relevance to investors - the breakaway gap, the measured (or continuation) gap, and the exhaustion gap. We previously discussed the breakaway gap, but it is important to discuss the measured gap and exhaustion gap at the same time. Why? Because it is difficult to tell one from the other until after the fact.

Quiet Session...

- Dow trades quietly sideways, ends session with 3 point loss. Today's movement in the Dow was in stark contrast to the heavy volatility we've seen over the last four weeks. Continue to watch key support and today's highs for signs of a medium term breakout move.

- The NASDAQ and S&P closed the day with buying into the Close and continue to hold above critical support levels after today's tests. Look for the indexes to continue to test these zones until a solid break or bounce occurs.

Summary

The Dow closed the day very quietly today after trading with low volatility throughout the session. The index continues to hold above critical support and beneath near-term resistance, which we will watch closely tomorrow.

Standard Deviation Channel

The Standard Deviation Channel is two lines plotted parallel to the Linear Regression Trendline. These lines are distanced by n number of standard deviations above and below the LRT.

Over time, prices generally move from one extreme to another. As market participants become overly optimistic, prices are driven up at an unsustainable rate. Likewise, when market participants are overly pessimistic, prices move down at an unsustainable rate.

Given this, markets tend to have an equilibrium pricing point. While the Linear Regression Trendline can help determine where such a point lies, it is the Standard Deviation Channel that is helpful in determining where the extremes fall...

Big Moves Occur Outside of the Range

OnA trading range is basically a horizontal channel in which a security moves from the high and low of the channel for an extended amount of time. Obviously, the upper level of the range can be considered resistance and the lower level represents support. Trading within a range is possible, but it's the breakout from the range that provides the best opportunitiese.

Volume Helps Identify Reversals

Various price patterns can alert us to potential reversal candidates. Trendline Breaks, Support and Resistance Levels, Fibonacci Retracement Levels and other price information are valuable in determining a change in direction for a security. However, one of the most overlooked chart patterns that help us determine reversals is not reflected in the price itself. Volume climaxes are easily identifiable and valuable in assessing a change in market sentiment.

Volatile Swings...

- Dow tests 13,100 level, trades sideways in volatile 250 point range. The index rallied about 250 points from the day's lows, dropped 150 points, then rallied 150 points into the Close - which is quite a demonstration of volatility.

- The NASDAQ and S&P closed the day with buying into the Close and continue to hold above critical support levels after today's tests. Look for the indexes to continue to test these zones until a solid break or bounce occurs.

Summary

The Dow ended the day with another burst higher from the 13,100 fulcrum that we continue to watch. Look for the Dow to continue to wind up within the current 200 point range before another key breakout move occurs. If the Dow remains above 13,000, we could see another wave of buying back toward the 13,600 zone.
